Now I recall that Trolley.
The END OF THE LINE for that trolley to the south was at 92nd and Foster Rd. (AND, all of the old tracks were taken out a few years back and the old tracks area was made into a running path in several areas of the route). I do recall that there was at least the one transfer point to Estacada.
I used to take it to work and you are correct about the route because as kids (in the 50's also) we took the trolley to Oaks Park.
Gee, my memory is coming back. Go figure.
Jennings Lodge is actually still where it has always been on McLoughlin Blvd, just south of Oregon City, and just before GI Joe's.

Thanks for those links.
There is a map of Clackamas County at http://www.gis.state.or.us/data/ormap/clackamastr.htm that shows the relationship of all the towns mentioned in this conversation.
In the Teens and early Twenties my parents used to take the Estacada trolley from near Oregon City up the Clackamas River to a camp ground where Dad loved to fish. I think it was called Jennings Lodge, but I'm not sure. Even in the 50's when I was a kid in Portland, there was an "InterUrban Trolley" from the East end of the Hawthorne Bridge to Oregon City. I only rode it to the Oaks Amusement Park, but believe that there was a transfer point to the Estacada Trolley in Milwaukee.
The Estacada Chamber has a nice site at http://www.estacadachamber.org
Hope this helps
