Subject: [or-roots] wagon trains from the east 1860's
I am searching for information on Margaret Virgina Shoemake who stowed
away in a wagon train, came to Oregon and married in 1867 in Washington
Co. to Allen Carpenter Davis. She came with her sister but we don't
know her sister's name. We are not sure the year she came here. She
came from Ohio or Missouri,. Allen Carpenter Davis was born in OH and
lived in Missouri until coming to Oregon. He may have been a guide.
I need help figuring this one. Thanks Glenda
