So wise guy could list every teacher he had huh. If he's so smart how come
he spent four years in kindygaarten?
Just kidding, must of been farmed out while mom was contributing to the war
effort or else went to one heck of an advanced school district.
Anyway I couldn't resist seeing if I could list my teachers through grade
school;
Latham Elementary, Cottage Grove, Lane Co., Oregon
first grade is a no brainer; Ethyl Saunders classmate of my father and
good friend of family, still in touch with her kids
Second Grade; Hazel Culver gave me the nicknmame (detested of
course)Lilly when I spell my name that way learning cursive (anyone
reading mine will know why it's CURSive)
Third Grade; Started out Miss(?) C(K?)atter seems to me
she left to get married
Fourth grade; Mrs. Cleo Wilson daughter was a classmate, she read us the
"Little house" books last time I saw her I think she was still
calling me Lilly
Fifth Grade; Mrs Gates Not of the Meat Cutting family discusser here
earlier, not a favored memory (thwack to the head)
Sixth grade; My father until we gave him a nervouse breakdown then the
principle's wife (we didn't give her any guff)
Seventh Grade; Mr Gates (see fifth) HE broke a ruler across my butt
Eighth Grade; Started out Kip Carelton Patrick Walter Knight the IInd,
he left for reasons I forget, Mr and Mrs Davis filled in again (principle
and wife)
No, I don't remember all my high scholl teachers and since the list would be
about twice what is abvoe will forbear the attempt. you might suspect that
we were really obnoxious to drive away so many teachers, but in fact the
only one we actually drove off was my poor father. He was never able to
reconcile the 19th century teaching methods he learned with handling
