[or-roots] Mrs. Marker and Foster school

Hi Rooters:

 

My education began in 1945 at Foster, OR.  The teacher for grades 1-3 was
Mrs. Marker.  She did not drive to school because she lived across the
street from the school. (If you look through my web pages you will find a
photo of her.)

 

In 1943 my father bought what was left of the J. Shea homestead from Mr.
Marker.  Most of that land is now under water created by the Foster Dam
Lake.  Ouch!
