To Cecil and Penny
I found penny's site interesting also, and to Cecil's inquiry there was a trail that came from San Francisco up through Southeastern Oregon and up into Idaho and If I remember my reading right there was a trail that came up through the Valley.
My heritage on my father's side goes back to William Craig (1829) and Chief James of the Nez Perce so Western and Northwestern History is my favourite subject.
