David,

No, The Redheart Band of Nez Perce, related to Chief Joseph who died at the
Colville Indian Reservation of a broken heart (1902) after the white man
killed his wife & 8 children & a daughter Sarah (Christian name) he put on a
horse & sent her to Chief Sitting Bull in Canada for protection. She died
later at a young age.

What I'm getting at is, the Redheart Band of Nez Perce were set to Kansas,
Oklahoma & even Oakland, CA. Where James Reuben a member of Chief Joseph's
tribe pleaded to take them home, as only a hand full were left alive. Older
women & children all that was left barely alive & he was allowed to take
them home. To this day Jesse Redheart & others live on the Reservation at:
Lapwai, Idaho. My grandmother has a picture sent to her by the Redhearts..
of Chief Redheart & his 2 Children on a horse, 1907 Peck, Idaho.

I do know my history, as I have research very heavy on The Nez Perce & my
grandmother told us when little kids we are related to the Redheart band of
Nez Perce which are related to Chief Joseph the son & his father Old Chief
Joseph.
We go every year to Joseph, Oregon & to the pow wows at: Wallowa and we go
every April to the Ceremonial at Fort Vancouver when The Redheart band were
wrongly imprisoned & a 2 year old died while in Captivity.
My grandmother rode horses in the Wallowa valley with Rose Redheart as a
young girl.
As a matter of fact, my grandmother rode in the parades every year at Joseph
Oregon along with Walter Brennnen who was the Grand Marshall.

Thanks for your thoughts though!
Nancy

No. Only the Wallowa band of the Nez Perce was sent to Oklahoma and Kansas
and finally to Washington state. The Idaho bands are still on the Nez Perce
Reservation in Idaho.

To this day Chief Joseph the younger is still buried in Washington.
The one that's near Enterprise is that of his father Chief Joseph the elder.
