[or-roots] Keep answering those queries

It is a pleasure to be able to help someone whenever possible. Sometimes it
just doesn't work out. Last night I answered a query on the OR-COOS list
from someone in California. Was able to find some information in the Coos
County histories I have and then got some additional information from the
Oregon State Archives and Ancestry.com. The individual had just signed her
query BJ in CA. I wondered about one comment she had made though about Glen
Aiken Road near Coquille, so I asked if she was from that area since my
husband is from that area. As it turned out I sent her some personal
information about when my husband was born, where he had lived (very close
to Glen Aiken Road) and the little country school he attended. She was born
the same year he was and they went to the same country school, she was one
year ahead of him. In checking some pictures to scan for her about Valley
View School, my husband reminisced about some of the "kids" in the school.
It was great and I was able to provide her with some information she needed.
I would heartily agree that the people on this list are so helpful and you
never know when a little tidbit of information will be just the clue they
need to find something more.

Sue
