The University of Oregon Knight Library is the location of the Oregon
Newspaper microfilm project, and has the best collection of Oregon
newspapers. For those close enough to visit, the microfilm is arranged
alphabetically by city, so you don't have to know the name of the paper.
AND they will interlibrary loan the microfilm. Ask your local library
to request your interlibrary loan from University of Oregon Knight
Library, Eugene, Oregon. Specify city (and state), and date range you
are interested in.
