Thsi is more to com;

My son asked me if I had read all of Parade magazine in today's paper,
alluding to the article on compulsive packrats and allowing as how his
mother and I are definitely amatuers in that department as it is fairly easy
to navigate most rooms in our house except parts of the basement and our
bedroom.

That reminded me of a fellow that my Dad and I used to visit quite often in
the '50's an early '60's somewhere between Walker and Creswell in Lane Co
Oregon. The reasons for our visits were often to search for a tool or farm
machinery repair part or whole piece of farm machinery (i think we may still
have a plough we got from him)

Anyway the point was this fellow had several hundred square feet and
possibly acres of "stuff" mostly farm machinery and other farm related
hardware, it seems to me his barn may have been full of books household
stuff etc, but I may be confusing him with the Creswell Auction which was in
the same nieghborhood, that is somewhere west of old 99 between the above
mentioned communities.

The point of this is i am not sure what his name was, but I THINK it was
Clyde Fisk.

I know there was a person "Clyde Fisk" who existed when I was a sprat, but I
may be sullying his good name by confusing him with the packrat above
mentioned, If anyone out there knows Clyde or happens to remember the fellow
I am talking about I would love to know more facts. I went looking for the
place a few years back and couldn't even be sure I was on the right road,
saw no sign of the collection of Stuff, probably hiers hauled it to dump and
paid to get rid of what they should have converted into a museum collection
/ ready cash with a little work.
