Linda;
Bless you, I am just about positive you have psyched it out for me, the name
Frank Sly sure does resonate
and associating Clyde with gunsmith sounds right too, I know there was more
than one gunsmith Dad and I used to visit, there again not always on
business.
I just looked Frank up in my 1958 Lane Co directory, all I have to do is
figure out where box 350 was on rt . . . woops, I jsut remembered that info
is in their, so my memory was close, actuall he seems to be on east side of
99 jst south of town, next time I'm up will have to check it out.
Thanks again.
Les C
Les,
My father was a farmer who often visited that place looking for a "special
something"
to use for another "special project". Dad was somewhat of an inventer, often
making things to make farming easier.
I seem to remember that his name was Frank SLY.
After having said that, I thought I should check the 1955 city/county
directory that I have
upstairs. There was a Frank SLY who lived in the rural area around Creswell.
There was
a Clyde FISK who was gunsmith living iin Eugene.
