If I remember correctly the Veterans hospital was on Glisan just E of 82nd
next to Montavilla Park. It later became a school for the blind. Don't know
what it is now but think a nursing home.
My grandparents had a dairy in Parkrose in the late 20's and early 30's.
Grandma tried to get me to try buttermilk - I thought it tasted like sour milk
and wouldn't drink more than a sip. Have never tried it again - ugh

The veteran's hospital was on 82nd and
you would see the veterans of the Civil
War in their blue and grey uniforms.
