Jack, can't say about woodlawn, and since my source of info is an aerial
photo, but there is a house on the corner that Yahoo and USA Photo maps say
is 607 Liberty, it is a BIG house seems to take up most of the lot, my son
thinks it looks like and older house.
You really had me going with the Woodlawn place name, finally googled it and
plugged in the zip code and lo and behold, the greats were real
adventuresome, they moved a whole ten Blocks there!
No clues about the house on the corner, there except if had a flat or nearly
flat roof, and was much smaller.
Can't come up with a location for 7 1/2 Union, or Meachan's corner, as a
matter of fact Yahoo doesn't have a clue about Meachan's Corner, nor does
Google??
Admittedly looking down on the roof doesn't tell you much, but you might be
able to call the county records folks to find out how old the houses are,
that is if they have a clue from deeds taxes etc and are willing to look.

Subject: [or-roots] old Portland area addresses
Hi List,
My wife's great grandparents, Garrisson P. Nickell and Laura A. (Poston)
Nickell and their family, lived in and about Portland from about 1880 after
leaving their homestead in Eugene. They lived at the following addresses:
1. Before 1916: Lived at 606 NE Junior at 15th St in Woodlawn, OR
2. Meachan's Corner
3. From about 1915 lived at 607 Liberty St in Portland, OR
& 7 1/2 Union St. in Portland, OR
I wonder if any of these old structures are still around?
