Was Tik-Tok on the South side, and build as a round
drivein. If so, I can recall visiting it during a trip to
Portland in about 1947.

I did too & also Tik-Tok. I used to go to Tik-Tok & A & W with my boy-friend whom I later married. I remember when they tore Tik-Tok down & they were going to build something in it's place but never did, only a big parking lot now. What a waste! They should have left it. I think more young people now a days need to have those kinds of memories as we did as teen-ages, maybe the world would be a better place to live in & these young kids wouldn't get so bored.

        I went to Cleveland H. S. class of 67

Compared to some on this list I am a baby but when I went to Grant High School in Portland (63-67) I use to catch the bus at 42nd and Sandy Boulevard to go home. While waiting there I would go into the Hamburger Stand located on this corner to eat something.

Since moving back to Oregon from traveling around the world I went back there and the place is still in business and still serving greasy burgers.

I am not sure when they originally open but when I was last there the place look just like it was when I was in high school.
