[or-roots] A Query

So was this the father of Venus (Jane)? You say you found him in the
Washington census in 1819 or should that be 1920? Washington has a death
index but the on-line index doesn't begin until 1940 deaths.
I got the divorce papers for my husband's great grandparents in Douglas
County, Oregon from the 1800s. Didn't get any genealogy information as such
but he had filed after she left with someone else so there were lots of
personal details about what happened. She didn't show for the divorce
hearing but sent in some kind of deposition rebutting what he said.
