My Gradnfather Alonzo Columbus Dye and Grandmother Daisybelle Dye (nee Pryer) lived in Riverton OR from as early as I can remember. Riverton and My Grand parents house are still there, although I don't believe that Riverton is even a town now.  I did get a chance last year to go by the old place, and it really looked good!  whomever owns it now has cleaned it up and painted.  It's an old two story

I rember using the hand pump in the kitchen to get water, and Grandmother cooking over and huge Woodstove in the kitchen. They had a cow, a few chickens, and a big Vegi Garden.  I was 8 or 10 years old when we first went to visit from Tacoma. Boy ws that a long trip in Dad's Company car 9 a '40 Cheve I think.
My cousin and i would go next door to Gramps place where there was a two story School and climb u and slide down the Fire escape Shoot!  What a Blast!!
