[or-roots] Draft Cards

I would love to see the civil war ones. Supposedly one of my
gggrandfathers was wounded in the civil war and supposedly received a
pension. I have got the WWI draft cards of both of my grandfathers but
would be interested in the enlistments of these uncles in WWII. Like I
said before I tried the link and came up with nothing. I know they were
in because I have pictures of all of them in their uniforms.

Hi Dale,

The link below is for Enlistment records WW II.. not the WW I Draft
Cards.

& says it's not a complete list of men & women.

US World War II Army Enlistment Records, 1938-1946
<http://www.ancestry.com/search/db.aspx?dbid=8939> - New
Ancestry.com has---Civil War Service Records also.

Description:
This database contains information on about 8.3 million men and women
who enlisted in the U.S. Army during World War II. While this database
contains information on the majority of the men and women who served in
the Army during this war, it is not complete and does not represent the
entirety of the U.S. Army servicemen. Information found in this database
comes from the WD AGO Form 317 (used from 1941-45), WD AGO Form 372
(used from 1945-46), and Enlisted Reserve Corps Statistical cards.

I put in Goodman & came up with lots & lots of Goodmans, but need to
know the full name date & location.

Your also searching for your ggggf George Washington Goodman Sr. in
Umatilla Co.,Oregon, right?

What are the names of your four uncles?

doing wrong?

Dale

ancestry.com may not have World War II cards, but they do have,

US World War II Army Enlistment Records, 1938-1946
<http://www.ancestry.com/search/db.aspx?dbid=8939> - New!

Also, at ancestry. com I found excellent World War II information on my
father in newspaper articles where he lived, which for him was Walla
Walla, WA. Walla Walla Union Bulletin Newspaper (1945) which was really
neat. I even read all the locations he served in the war, all the medals
he got, even the date he was discharged from the Marines.

I f you know about where they lived at the time, the dates, if there
names comes up click & see what it reads, it may not be them but just go
to the next name.

The draft cards are for WW ONE, not World War II. Denise

This is my first question since signing up. Are copies of Draft Cards
available for individuals who registered for the draft in the early
1940's? I had tree brothers who probably had to register prior to or
early in the 1940's.
