I have forewarded your Shoemaker Rootsweb email to my wife's relativies in Kansas did Penny's the other day the relative in Kansas will try to contact Penny.
There may be a connection as some of my wife's Shoemaker family Was from Ohio, Iowa, Il. Etc. so she is thinking there probably is a connection.
Les and I just made a connection with the Melvin Family he was wondering about on the Melvin Name in my Cross family.
LOOK OUT we May be related HA HA, you never know what surprises come up in Genealogy.

    I would be most happy if someone could connect my ancestor, William Shoemaker, back to where he came from <Grin>.  He was reportedly born in Ohio of parents who were born in Pennsylvania.  He settled in Douglas County Oregon and most of his children died in that area.  I don't have any evidence that he was related to folk from Nebraska or Kansas.
