I am a little nonplussed, just went looking for John and Sarah in 1880 and
had a heck of a time.

went nuts tryiing to solve this, couldn't find Francina either, but finally
a search on Sarah solved the mystery;

But, no sign of Jeremiah and Francina, in Oregon or California, brute force
search of entire Coos Co 1880 Census didnt' turn them up either, but I did
turn up two other Barklow families in Halls Prairie besides the above that I
would swear didn't come up in a search.
