There is a lot to be desired in searching the census, if you are looking for
Pruit in Coos Co 1880, try Prewett, I have to wonder if the Hanslon family I
found are actually Hansons which reminds me of a fellow who contacted me
years ago looking for a Henry Hansen family in Coos Bay and wondered if my
Henry was his, it wasn't but I think I just found his spelled on and not
only was head of family Henry as my Grandpa was but he named daughters Emma
and Elizabeth, same as my aunts, fortunately there were a lot of others in
his family that don't match but it could be confusing, I have put people in
my database before on evidence nearly as flimsy from the census and so far
further research has only cost me a couple of houeholds out of literally
dozens.

Bob, speaking of corruptions of spelling I saw something that looked a lot
like Casebeer in Coos county Cospeer or Cospeel or some such? There is also
a plain old Casebeer here in 1880.
