You might try the Polk City Directory for the date and place. Look at both a 
year before and a year after as well as the year in question. The Oegon State 
Library (not the Archives) has most of the city directories on film and are 
easy to use. 

Not knowing where you live you may have to ask for a lookup by a volunteer. 
Many on here will do that for you.
