Hello Barbra, yes it was some time ago, now you can get an idea of how old I am. There was also a Dr Pollard and Dr Blachard in Lebanon. My younger brother and sister were born in the 'now Lebanon Library' when it was the Hospital. I started primary grade school at Greenacres, then went to the two room school at Griggs befor we moved to Scio, on the old Shelburn Rd. I remember the old pioneer buildings there that now you only see in photos at the Salem Public Historical on line photo library. Oh yes and the year was not complete unless you attended the annual Lebanon Strawberry Festival and had some of that strawberry shortcake! It is interesting to see how the Valley has grown and changed over the years. Mary in The Dalles
