I have a special interest in the wagon train of 1844 and I recalled the
PARROTT surname from that year. Joseph E. PARROT Sr. (b. 1803, NJ) is
listed that year as well as a son, Joseph E. Parrott Jr. (I assume Susan
(Kindred) Parrott is the mother of Jr).
I have a book of Norma Weber Eid's research called "To Oregon in 1844"
(April 1997) that is a summary of information she found in researching that
specific year. Also there is a book by Thomas A. Rumer called "The Wagon
Trains of '44" that covers that year.
Norma may have more on the Parrott family (cyneid at worldnet.att.net is listed
in the book from 1997). I haven't been in touch with Norma for several
years.
In my own database I only have a Margaret Parrott who married Thompson
Gilliam SMITH (1831 MO-) and I don't have alot on them but I think they
remained in MO.
I also have Andrew Hagey, husband of Catherine Grimes, parents of Sarah
Catherine Hagey (1836 IA-1913 OR) who married Mitchell Porter Gilliam.

Happy to share if something there is of help. Denise
