[or-roots] Pictures of Oregon Tail emigrant wagons

Bonjour, 

I am finishing up an article for OCTA's Overland Journal on the items
emigrants carried with them on their overland trek, and we are looking
for images to include.  I looked at a couple of internet sites for
pictures, but they are commercial enterprises, and didn't actually have
pictures of what we are looking for: household, sewing, and cooking
items; trinkets for trade with the Indians; tools; farm equipment; food
items; weapons; clothing; books; bedding; wagon parts,  unusual items,
&c.

It was suggested that perhaps some folks who live near one of the Trail
museums where there are exhibits of such articles  might be willing to
take a few pictures with a digital or film camera for us to use.  I know
that the End of the Trail Interpretative Center and the Clackamas County
Museum in Oregon City have marvelous displays, and I'm told that the
Lane County Historical Museum in Eugene,OR, does as well as the National
Frontier Trails Museum in Independence, MO, and Scottsbluff National
Monument in NE, too. There are doubtless other places in other states,
as well, that are close enough to some of the members of this list for a
quick trip to help with this project. 

I am also looking for pictures of landmarks along the Trail and other
appropriate Trail, emigrant, and wagon subjects to include in my
upcoming book on the Oregon Trail emigration of 1851.  There are lots of
images for sale at various places, but I am attempting to obtain "new"
pictures that have not been published already.  Any that are submitted
and used will be properly attributed.
