My nice has the addy for the newer addition. It has his phone number at the
bottom. I was able to get the hard cover edition from him. FYI.. That is
Tommy Wildcat playing flute in the back ground. Met him at a powwow. He grows
his hair to honor his ancestors. It was down to his mid calf then..: )
Hope you enjoy the book.

Oh. IF anyone could help me find my Mohawk I would be tickled to death. It
was passed down that gg-grandpa David Diggins (last homestead in Joseph)
was 1/4 Mohawk but he hated anyone knowing. He came out of PA where is father
Samuel stayed.

Pam,
(I tried to reply to this message earlier, and it "bounced". Trying
again.) Anyway, thanks for sending the web site address. Trouble is, it says
"This version of the book is no longer available in print". However, I may be
able to find a copy somewhere.

A great place to get a treasure of information on tracing your Cherokee
lines is a book written by my cousin:
"Cherokee Proud: A Guide for Tracing and Honoring Your Cherokee Ancestors".
By Tony Mack McCLURE.
Here is a link to the first edition that he wrote. _Cherokee Proud_
(http://www.powersource.com/gallery/tonymack/)
He donated his book to some of the libraries in the states that were located
along the "Trail of Tears". If your like me and don't live by one you will
have to purchase the book. Its well worth the purchase.
He still lives on the reservation in TN. You can contact him at 4040 Booth
Road, Somerville, TN 38068 or by E-mail: _CheroProud at aol.com_
(mailto:CheroProud at aol.com) He use to have a web site but I cant seem to find it anymore.
FYI: John Bryant was my gggg-grandfather. If you find a connection let me
know. : )
