My. James Robbins was 46 when he was sent to prison so 35 years would make
81 years old. I did find two possibilities, a James Robbins died 26 Jan
1921, Portland Oregon, Death Certificate 204 and a James Robbins died 26
December 1932 Washington County, Oregon, death record 295. I don't want to
order death certificates and find they are both wrong. Too bad Oregon
doesn't put the older death certificates on line like Washington and Utah.

1896 + 35 = 1931
hmmm ... seems the 1930 census should be able to give you an idea of whether
he served nearly the full term of his sentence, or going backwards, at least
what date he was no longer there, to the nearest decade, which is more than
you have now -- might be of some help in looking for the record ...
