Dear Rooters,

Just want to remind folks that you can receive copies of death certificates that are more than 50 years old from the Reference Unit here at the State Archives.  We have just received the records from 1959 and opened them to researchers as of Monday the 4th.

You can send an email request to the reference desk at:

reference.archives at state.or.us 

Cost for death certificates for in-state resident is $5.00, out-of state resident is $10.00

Of course you are always welcome to visit in person and make a copy for .25 cents.
