Ah, silly me. I couldn't do a proper search, going after "No. 1", but
eventually (using Hibbard) I found #'s 1-xxx

I didn't think about this list being numerical! Duh.

Maybe he meant the first in the area???

I ran across some of that online last night Mimi, I guess I should call
Jerry and find out where he got the idea TD was the first DLC filer;
according to the book claim number 1 was King Hibbard and his wife Nancy wi
Aff; Wm. Brisbin, Ralph C. Geer and John W. Shrum.

I see I didn't see the article you mention though, Elaine Keizur Hansen?
That would be a third cousin or so of mine. I didn't know any of Dale's
descendants were even in Coos Bay.

For those of you researching the Keizurs, especially Thomas Dove Keizur, the
founder of Keizer, Oregon, go to today's Statesman Journal newspaper (Salem)
online. (Statesmanjournal.com) The front of the Mid-Valley, Section C, has
a great article and photo of the new statue just dedicated yesterday to him.
And Dr. Jerry McGee portraying him.

It mentions that an estimated 140 relatives attended - quotes an Elaine
Keizur Hansen of Coos Bay. Mimi Stang
