[or-roots] Wallowa County Birth Records

Thank you all for your help.

I had Verona born in Tillamook county but someone else said Wallowa. The problem is we don't know when the family relocated from the far east side of the state to the coast. If we can get birth records on either of the kids we might be set for both.

A picture I have of Edgar at what is probably between 1 and 2 years of age is from the W D Rogers studio in Hood River.  Really pretty dress.

  The birth records in Wallowa county would have been the County Registrar's copy of the record that was then forwarded to the Vital Records office in Portland.  The records would be outside of the 100 year restriction so the County should be able to provide you with a copy from their record.  I imagine it would be cheaper, and possibly faster than going through Vital Records office in Portland.  The Portland office would provide you with the "certified" copy that can be used for legal purposes etc.

  The archives show that Wallowa County has Birth records in their vault.  Specifically from 1906.  Would there also be a copy with the state?

   

  I am looking for two records.

   

  Verona Rosemond Bartrow b. 13 April 1906 supposedly in Wallowa County

   

  Edgar R Bartrow b. 28 Mar 1906 [we think] 

   

  Land records show that the extended family were all together in Wallowa County at that time.

   

  Any suggestions?
