This book, "Pioneers of Oregon" was never meant to be a complete study of
all pioneers of Oregon. This is the Oregon Pioneers of just one family -
descendants of Daniel Richardson and allied families. Each of us with Oregon
ancestors could write a book about our "Pioneers of Oregon" -- and each
would be different.

>From experience I know that it is very hard to title a book so the title is
meaningful to the author and family, and is meaningful to a greater
audience, and how will it be indexed and shelved in a library. When you begin to
think of all those aspects, writing the book is the easy part.

Just my two cents . . . .

I must say the book Pioneers of Oregon appears to be far from complete.
I think Sandy Flory's website has a more complete list, also I had
ancestors
that came 1846-1847 -1853 and my Gr. Gr. Grandfather was a Fur Trapper and
Mountainman that came in 1829
His future brothers-in-law were with him Joseph Meek and Robert Newell, and
 there were many others that
do not show listed in the Pioneers book.
