First of all my apologies to Mike who I sent this directly to a minute ago cause I didn't check the addressee when I clicked reply on the first item in my Or-roots archive;
I have a question, does Knudrud make sense as an alternative for Christianson?  I have the marriage of my cousin's in-laws in Washington 15 Oct 1917 Herman B. Olson ma Marie Hagen  wh lists her parents as Johan Hagen and Berte Christianson and in 1941 Family Search WA death index I find the listing below. As I am pretty sure Herman is listed in the same index still in Camas in 1946 and they are in the same place in 1930 and 1940 Census I have quite a bit of faith these are Howards parents, but I don't get Christianson from Knudrud, worse luck that doesn't even seem to be a name, the closest I get is Knutrud which apparently doesn't translate to anything as near as I can tell. The best clue to the name I came up with from Google was a web site for Knutrud farm just outside Lillehammer.
