“ A Vanished People: Investigating A Mysterious Lake River
Population” is the topic of the April 6, 2010 Oregon Archaeological
Society lecture.

A mysterious population of people lived in the Vancouver area for
several centuries before disappearing, leaving unusual ceramics and
artifacts behind as evidence of their existence.

Dr. Alison Stenger, the Director of Research for the Institute for
Archaeological Studies in Portland has researched and reevaluated the
artifacts from the known occupation sites of these people and will
present her findings.

Dr. Stenger has over 25 years of professional experience in archaeology
and research and has authored many papers. She will be offering and
signing her new book, A Vanished People, after her lecture.

The presentation is at Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) at
7:45 PM, and is free and open to the public. The talk is preceded at 7
PM by a general business meeting, which is also open to the public.
