YOU ARE INVITED

Historic and Cultural Resources Open House

Dear Sirs ,

I would like to invite you and the members of the Communications Team to participate in an upcoming open house about the historic and cultural resources <http://columbiarivercrossing.us2.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=0f9e23b88a69d6ec3dc03ae8b&id=a97315b644&e=240694fc1b> within the Columbia River Crossing <http://columbiarivercrossing.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=0f9e23b88a69d6ec3dc03ae8b&id=31168db97d&e=240694fc1b> (CRC) five-mile project area. The event is Wednesday, May 25, 2011, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Red Cross Community Room <http://columbiarivercrossing.us2.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=0f9e23b88a69d6ec3dc03ae8b&id=d22d52979b&e=240694fc1b> , Historic Reserve, 605 Barnes Road, Vancouver, WA.

Come to the event to:

* Learn more about historic and cultural resources in the CRC project area and provide input on proposed measures to offset identified impacts.
*	Tell us your story of the I-5 bridge, Pier 99 Building, Fort Vancouver or other historic places within the CRC project area.

CRC staff and partners will present results of a study of the historic and cultural resources in the project area as well as proposed measures to offset identified impacts. There will be opportunities for one-on-one conversations with cultural resource experts and local historians. Your input on the proposed measures is important.

CRC invites you and members of your organization to share personal stories and old photographs related to the CRC project area. The CRC's five-mile project area is rich with history. Your experiences are part of that history. CRC will be recording stories and scanning photos at the open house. Some of the stories and photos may be used on a new website and in educational materials highlighting this area's history. Appointments also can be made to meet with staff in private at another time.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

I look forward to seeing you there,

Heather Wills <mailto:feedback at columbiarivercrossing.org?subject=Historic%20and%20Cultural%20Resources%20Open%20House>
