The Oregon State Fiscal Association has four 2-year openings on its Board of Directors for the May 6, 2014 OSFA Conference. If you or someone you know is interested in serving on the board of directors, please send a one-page letter of interest to Dawn Young, OSFA President and Clay Flowers, OSFA President-elect by March 31, 2014. The letter should include your fiscal work history, what unique qualities you offer the board and why you wish to serve on the OSFA Board of Directors. Election of new board members occurs during the conference.

Serving on the OSFA Board of Directors offers an opportunity for:

*         Leadership experience

*         Project Management experience

*         Networking and forging strong relationships with people within other state agencies

*         Researching and selecting training opportunities to offer at the annual training and business conference

If you have questions regarding serving on the OSFA Board of Directors, please ask any current or former board member. Serving on the board is a unique opportunity to gain experience not always available in one's day-to-day duties. Many OSFA board members form strong friendships which last them throughout their career!

Attending at least one of the OSFA Board Meetings prior to the conference is highly recommended. The next OSFA board meeting is Tuesday, February 11, 2014, 12:00 - 12:55pm, Barbara Roberts Human Services Building, 500 Summer Street, Room 456.
