[OSFA] OSFA Awards and Board Membership

The Oregon State Fiscal Association has two annual awards for which it is now accepting nominations. The first is the Award for the Promotion and Development of the Oregon State Fiscal Association. The second is the Award for Outstanding Contribution to Oregon State Government Finance and Accounting. Both award forms can be found at the following link by clicking the Awards Program button:

Please submit your award nomination forms to any OSFA Board of Directors member by Monday, April 7, 2014.


Would you like an opportunity to gain leadership experience and network with people from multiple state agencies? Serving as a member on the OSFA Board of Directors gives you an opportunity to do this, and more! You will learn about project management, conference planning, and recruiting presenters. You will work closely with people from other state agencies, and forge strong connections and friendships which will last for years.

There are four openings on the OSFA Board of Directors this year. Four opportunities to work closely with people who work hard to create a strong, positive training conference every year. This is an amazing opportunity. You will practice leadership and management skills throughout the year, with a group of like-minded individuals dedicated to encouraging and supporting each other in learning the same. I strongly urge you to apply.

OSFA's next board meeting is Tuesday, April 8, 2014 in the Department of Human Services building at 500 Summer Street, Fourth Floor, Room 456. Join us for our next meeting to find out what it's like to serve on the board. To be considered for board membership, please send any board of director's member (found on the Board of Directors tab at the above link) one to three paragraphs describing your work experience and what qualities you will bring to the board as a member.
