Marine Board Seeks Public Comment on Proposed Rule for Foothills Park Boat Dock

The Oregon State Marine Board is seeking public comment on a proposed rule change affecting the Willamette River at River Mile 20.5 where the Foothills Park Boat Dock is being installed.

The City of Lake Oswego is requesting a 100 foot slow-no-wake zone (instead of the 200 foot statewide rule) around the new transient dock, due to the narrow width of the river. The new dock is scheduled for completion in mid-November.

Written comments will be accepted until November 30 at 5 p.m. Comments may be submitted by mail to June LeTarte, OSMB, PO Box 14145, Salem, OR 97309; by email to osmb.rulemaking at state.or.us; or by fax to (503) 378-4597. Telephone comments will not be accepted.
