Douglas County Receives Boating Facility Grant

Douglas County was awarded a boating facility grant from the Marine Board at their quarterly meeting in Salem on April 28.

The county applied for, and received, a grant to replace an existing antiquated vault toilet at Cleveland Rapids on the Umpqua River with a new, pre-fabricated single stall vault toilet. The Board approved $32,000 in state boater funds combined with $11,400 of in-kind contributions for a project total of $43,400.
