Marine Board Approves Grant for Bradley Lake in Coos County

The Oregon State Marine Board approved a grant for the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, on June 27 at their quarterly meeting held in Sisters, OR.
ODFW applied for, and received a grant to replace the existing boat ramp at Bradley Lake and dredge around the ramp.  The grant also includes constructing boarding floats out of floats provided by ODFW and new floats.  Some of the boarding floats will be designated for angling, and are being funded by ODFW.  The new ramp will provide convenient, safe access for anglers.   The boarding floats and fishing dock, coupled with dredging, will also open the lake to boaters of all types.
The Board approved $125,000 in state boater funds combined with $9,425 applicant cash and $375,000 in federal Sport Fish Restoration funds, administered by the Department of Fish and Wildlife, for a project total of $509,425.
The Oregon State Marine Board is funded entirely by user fees, and the revenue generated from the fees goes back to boaters in the form of boating facility improvements, law enforcement services, and education and outreach.
