Oregon State Marine Board and Aviation Board to Discuss Rules Prohibiting Floatplanes on Waldo Lake

On April 6, 2012, representatives from the Oregon State Marine Board and the Aviation Board will meet in Portland to discuss rules prohibiting floatplanes on Waldo Lake. This meeting is being held pursuant to ORS 830.110(19) which requires cooperation between the two Board's for regulating seaplanes.  The meeting will begin at 10:30 a.m. in Room C of the Portland Building, 1120 SW Fifth Avenue, Portland.   The meeting will be noticed as a public meeting.  No public testimony will be accepted.

The Waldo Lake rulemaking public comment period remains open through the public hearing scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2012, during a special Marine Board meeting in Springfield.  Any recommendation resulting from the April 6 meeting will be presented during the public hearing for consideration by the Marine Board.  At the conclusion of the public hearing on April 10, the Marine Board may make a motion to re-adopt the rules, repeal the rules, or amend the rules with new language.
