Clackamas River Temporary Closure to Boating Suspended

              The Oregon State Marine Board lifted a temporary closure on the Clackamas River due to the dismantling of the Oregon City Trolley Bridge at River Mile (0.8) that was nearing collapse on March 7.  Union Pacific crews were able to successfully take down and dismantle the steel trusses that landed in the river obstructing all boating traffic.  On March 12, Clackamas County Sheriff's Office notified the Marine Board that the bridge remnants were removed and the river was safe for boating.
