Marine Board Seeks Public Comment on Proposed Rule for Salmon River in Lincoln County

On August 5, 2014, the agency received a petition requesting that the Marine Board open rulemaking to prohibit the use of personal watercraft within the estuary of the Salmon River.
The Marine Board staff will be holding a public meeting where interested parties can learn about the petition and provide oral testimony or written comments on the petition proposal.  The meeting will be held on September 9, at the Lincoln City Community Center Meeting Room, 2150 NE Oar Place in Lincoln City beginning at 7 pm.  No decisions will be made at this meeting.  The Marine Board will decide whether or not to open rulemaking at their October board meeting in Astoria.
