[Announcements from OSPS to the users of the Oregon State Payroll Application]

OSPS is passing on this information from the Heart of Oregon Chapter of
the American Payroll Association.  This is an opportunity to  take part
in a study group to prepare for the Fundamental Payroll Certification
(FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)  test, or just to learn
more about payroll.    Your colleagues Theresa Klopfenstein CPP,
Payroll Coordinator at Oregon Military and Julie Berbena CPP, OSPS
Analyst are assisting with this study group.  This is a great training
opportunity at a very low cost.

Payroll Certification Study Group Starting Very Soon



 

Is your goal to earn your payroll certification??  Do you need a good
solid source of payroll instruction?  Now, more than ever is a good time
to enhance your payroll knowledge!

 

The Heart of Oregon Payroll Chapter is happy to announce our upcoming
CPP / FPC certification study group beginning Wednesday evening, May
20th, 2009 in Salem, Oregon. 

 

Come and learn with individuals in all stages of their payroll career.
Feel comfortable asking questions you've feared to ask before.  Come
just to learn, or study for either the Fundamental Payroll Certification
or the Certified Payroll Professional fall exam session.

 

A nominal fee of $25.00 will provide 9 three-hour sessions every other
Wednesday evening from 5:30-8:30 pm, plus the opportunity to take the
KAC (Knowledge Assessment Calculator) test.  Please see the attached
schedule and registration form.  Sessions will be held at Cascade
Employers Association at 4068 Hudson Avenue NE in Salem just off
Lancaster.

 

All participants are responsible for obtaining a 2009 edition of "The
Payroll Source" book which will be the main focus for study (see
