OSPS E-News ~ PPDB 2011-2013 Biennium Labor Cost Changes

[Announcements from OSPS to the users of the Oregon State Payroll Application]

Good afternoon everyone,

 

PPDB plans to update the labor costing tonight with the AY 13 biennium
coding for processing of July's payroll in OSPA.  (Attached is the
original OSPS-News Labor Cost information request.)  If you did not
provide OSPS one-to-one labor cost changes to upload for your agency
then only the biennium indicators will be changed from AY 11 to AY 13
for your agency.  Any additional changes after tonight will need to be
processed manually within PPDB.

 

Labor cost coding that is already updated to AY 13 in PPDB will not be
included with the mass change processing tonight.  

 

The email notice below from the HRSD PPDB group includes additional
details about the process.

Subject: 11-13 biennium Labor Cost Changes

 

Labor Cost Changes for the 11-13 biennium will be implemented tonight
for position and employee records in PPDB effective 7/1/2011.

 

Since this is being updated as a mass change, agencies have the option
of printing the Position Control (PC) forms for the position changes or
the personnel actions (PA) turnaround forms for the employees. 

 

Agencies can control the printing of these PC or PA forms on mass
changes through specific report option codes on their agency table
(PBAG) on the PPDB system.

 

Report Option Code 'M' - controls whether Personnel Actions (PA) will be
printed for the employee updates. 

*	If your agency does not want PA's printed for the employee labor
cost changes, Report Option M needs to indicate a 'N' on your agency's'
PBAG screen; 
*	If you want PA's to print, Report Option M will need to be a
'Y'.

 

Report Option Code 'N' - controls whether the Position Control (PC)
forms will be printed for the position updates. Report Option N has been
defaulted for all agencies to an 'N'.

 

*	If your agency does want the PC forms printed for the position
labor cost changes Option N will need to be changed to a 'Y'.
