OSPS E-News ~ New Employees in OSPA Class 10/27/11

[Announcements from OSPS to the users of the Oregon State Payroll Application]

If you are planning to attend the New Employees in OSPA class on October
27, 2011 and have not yet registered, please do so in iLearnOregon,
http://go.usa.gov/K9o  by 5:00 pm on October 24. The class will be from
8:30 am to 4:30 pm in the DAS Computer Lab, Mt. Hood Room, General
Services Building, 1225 Ferry St. NE, Salem.

 

In this hands-on class, we will walk through the steps outlined in the
OSPA Reference Manual, Recommended Practices, New Employees,
http://www.oregon.gov/DAS/SCD/OSPS/docs/pubs/practice/practicenewemploye
es.pdf . In addition, we will cover the additional entries when an
employee opts out of PEBB medical or medical and dental insurance,
declines PEBB benefits, or insures a domestic partner and/or the
partner's children,

We will also talk about some of the issues for returning retirees.

 

You need a current OSPA userid and password to participate in the class.

 

As a reminder, the State Controller's Division has a $50 fee if a staff
member registers for a class held in a computer lab and does not attend,
cancel 48 hours prior to class or send a substitute.
