OSPS E-News ~ Changes to OSPS On-line Resources

[Announcements from OSPS to the users of the Oregon State Payroll Application]

With the DAS migration to the new web software, we took the opportunity
to make some changes to the OSPS On-line Resources. They include:

*         Updates to the garnishment and Insurance Force Entry
worksheets

*         Changes to the OSPA Reference Manual structure and layout

 

Checklists, Worksheets, Processing Tools

For those of you who noticed that the garnishment spreadsheet was gone
and asked for its return, we heard you! Julie has enhanced and updated
it and it is back in our On-line Resources. It is now a workbook that
has separate spreadsheets for child support, creditor, U.S. D.O.E.
student loan and taxes. Check it out under Checklists, Worksheets,
Processing Tools:

Also, under Checklists, Worksheets, Processing Tools, Julie added fields
to the Insurance Force Entry worksheet to calculate the entries for the
P070 Deductions and Deduction Adjustments screen. While you are on the

OSPA Reference Manual,

Allison separated the Glossary from the Reference Manual and split the
manual in two parts - OSPA System Related Documentation and Payroll
Processes. The System Related Documentation includes Codes, Screen
Guides, Report Guides and Interfaces. The documents in the Payroll
Processes section are alphabetical by topic (no longer separated by
Entry Guide, Handbook or Recommended Practice). We will update the
references in the documents as we have reasons to make edits to the
documents.

 

The left navigation panel on all of our web pages now includes separate
entries for Glossary, OSPA System Docs and Payroll Procedure Guidance.

 

Note: if you use the Reference Manual link in the right navigation panel
on the OSPS Home page, be patient - it takes a little while to load and
display the documents.

 

 

We hope these changes will make it easier to find information and make
OSPA entries. If you find broken links or have suggestions / questions,
