[Announcements from OSPS to the users of the Oregon State Payroll Application]

Hello,

OSPA updated the 2013 federal tax rates in OSPA last night.  Due to the late notification (January 10, 2013) of the new rates for 2013 by the IRS, we were unable to program, test and put into production until January Run 1 processing.  The IRS provided guidance for employers not to retroactively correct payroll that processed prior to the implementation of the new 2013 tax rates.  It is up to the employee's discretion to decide if they want to amend their 2013 W-4 exemptions or wait until they file their 2013 income tax returns to address any differences.

If you have set any employee December correctives or had January terminations processed prior to last night, you may see that those employees also have a change to their net pay due to the federal tax table updates.
