OSPS E-News ~ PEBB 2016 Open Enrollment Process Starting Next Week

[Announcements from OSPS to the users of the Oregon State Payroll Application]

Payroll Professionals,

Next week there will be a lot of activity happening for both OSPS and PEBB.  OSPS has been working with PEBB on modifying the transfer of Open Enrollment (OE) information from PEBB to OSPA since the beginning of this year.

Here is a timeline for next week's processes that will be done by OSPS.


1)      11/09/15 - that night the following will happen in OSPA:

a.       New deduction codes (PV1N for example) will be added to the deduction tables (PTD screens) with start dates of 12/01/15.

b.      Obsolete deduction codes (most 5% plans and all 3% plans) will have start dates of 12/01/15 and only have plan codes ZZZ and 001 available.  Please note - PEBB Statewide and Kaiser HMO are the only medical 5% plans that will be fully active in tax year 2016.

c.       Benefit packages (PTB screens) will have start dates of 12/01/15.

d.      Domestic partner P050 entries (DPT, DPN, DPS) will be outdated 11/30/15.

2)      11/12/15 - that night the following will happen in OSPA:

a.       Outdate PEBB deduction related codes on the P070 and HEM on the P050 with 11/30/15 dates.

b.      Removal of PEBB deduction related codes on the P070 that have a 12/31/15 or greater start date.

c.       PEBB to OSPA interface will be closed.

3)      11/13/15 - that day OSPS will work with agency payroll offices on any changes that will need to be made prior to loading OE data.

4)      11/14/15 - OSPS will be loading OE data coming from PEBB.

5)      11/16/15 - OSPS will run a "Pre" Prelim November Run 1 and send an exception report out to agencies.  Also OSPS will be sending over to PEBB a list of all their codes in OSPA so they can run a comparison to PDB.  Then PEBB will work with agencies for any discrepancies.

Please refer to PEBB's post OE eNews for information on what they will be processing next week.  **Important note** - PEBB will be closing PDB the night of 11/12/15 until the OE data is transferred over to OSPA on 11/14/15.  This will be the same night the PEBB to OSPA interface will be shut down.
