[Announcements from OSPS to the users of the Oregon State Payroll Application]

UPDATE 6/21/16:  OSPS has placed Focus Card posters in agencies' lock boxes.  Please feel free to use these in your agency to help boost awareness of the upcoming change.  US Bank will be mailing out letters later this week to current cardholders that will explain the change in more detail.  Attached is an example of the letter that will be mailed.  The actual Focus Cards will be mailed out in mid-July for current cardholders.  Focus Cards for new requests will be mailed out when a request is sent by OSPS and US Bank processes it.

REMINDER:  For current cardholders, June Run 1 and Run 2 ACH deposits will be on the AccelaPay card and for July Run 1 ACH deposits will be on the Focus Card.  Any new cardholder will have ACH deposits on the Focus Card starting with June Run 1.

UPDATE 6/20/16:  OSPS was able to successfully transmit a Focus card ACH transaction.

New pay card requests can now be entered.  REMINDER:  today is the prenote deadline for a July 1st ACH.

Please call Melissa Tominaga at (503) 373-0738 for new routing and account information.  Once you have made the P070 entry please fax the new Pay Card Authorization Form OSPS.99.19 to OSPS at (503) 378-3518.

Any current employees with an AccelaPay card will automatically be changed over to the Focus card after June run 2.  OSPS will be doing a mass update to the P070 screen so all AccelaPay entries show the new Focus card ACH information.

UPDATE 6/1/16:  Due to a last minute change by US Bank, OSPS was unable to successfully transmit a Focus ACH transaction on May Run 1.  Unfortunately that means we are still holding any NEW pay card requests.  We are working with Treasury and US Bank to get this new platform setup quickly so another test can be done.

We will send out another update when we have more information.

Payroll Professionals,

US Bank is transitioning all AccelaPay cards to their new Focus cards.  OSPS will be testing the Focus ACH process on May Run 1.

Starting now all NEW pay card requests will be done on the Focus card.  Form OSPS.99.19 has been updated to reflect the Focus cards terms and conditions.  OSPS will hold any new requests until the Focus ACH has been verified.  The goal is to have that finished by June 1st.  The old AccelaPay form will no longer be accepted.  Agencies can still make changes to fixed amounts for pre-existing AccelaPay cards.

Employees with AccelaPay cards will receive a letter from US Bank explaining the change.  June Run 2 will be the last payroll cycle that will deposit money on an AccelaPay card.  OSPS will run a job to change all AccelaPay account numbers to Focus account numbers for July Run 1.

OSPS is working with Treasury and US Bank on communication regarding this change.  When we have more information we will pass it along.
