So far, we have held four Paid Leave Oregon Explained sessions for state employees.  They have all been well attended and a lot of helpful information has been shared. Outside of these sessions, employees have been reaching out to Paid Leave Oregon and agency HR staff with questions. We have partnered with Paid Leave Oregon to create the guidance below on where to refer employees based on specific topics.



When to refer employees to PAID LEAVE OREGON:

  *   applying for Paid Leave Oregon
  *   processing of their application
  *   qualifying reasons for leave
  *   length of leave
  *   Paid Leave Oregon benefits
  *   program specific information
  *   Paid Leave Oregon law as it relates to the use of OFLA while receiving benefits
  *   contribution calculation rate

When to refer employees to AGENCY HR:

  *   anything that would be outlined in an employer policy or collective bargaining agreements
  *   state benefits (PERS/PEBB)
  *   internal processes (such as applying for FMLA/OFLA, using Workday)
  *   contribution paycheck deduction amount
  *   employer paid employee contributions
  *   state agency employer contribution rate
