[Announcements from OSPS to the users of the Oregon State Payroll Application]

Good morning,

For clarification:

For all ongoing employees, the January 1st payroll out of Workday Payroll is the official December run 1. Workday Payroll will also have a December run 2 in mid-January.

OSPA will only be used for terminations in December, so their termination payout can be included in the 2022 W-2.  This needs to happen by Friday December 23rd.

Hello Payroll Professionals,

The OSPS calendar for 2022 has been updated and now includes November and December. You can find it on the OSPS website here<https://www.oregon.gov/das/Financial/Payroll/Pages/Index.aspx>. Please note that the last week of December is a blackout period for OSPA and we will not be able to process manual checks. All termination and retirements should be processed in OSPA.

However, Friday December 23 is December final run 1 and the last day to update OSPA to process a final pay check.  The payment date out of OSPA will be Friday December 30.  If you are informed of a termination that last week of December, it will need to be processed in WD for the first paycheck in January and that the employee will be receiving a 2023 W2 from your agency.   Please meet with your HR team (or equivalent depending on your agency) to discuss the impacts for your agency.

The Workday processing calendar is currently under review and will be posted soon.  The first payment out of Workday will be January 1 for checks and January 3 for ACH.
