OSPS E-News ~ No Retro Date (NRPPT) Change Coming / New Report

[Announcements from OSPS to the users of the Oregon State Payroll Application]

Good afternoon,
Payroll Advisors voted on March 19, 2024, to move the "No Retro Prior Period To" (NRPPT) date to Dec. 1, 2023. This date is the beginning of the new tax year and means no changes, including timesheet changes, will process systematically prior to Dec. 1, 2023. The update will be made during April run 1 payroll processing (April 25). Pay impacting entries prior to Dec. 1, 2023, will have to be manually calculated after April run 1.
No Retro Date (NRPPT) outline:

  *   No Retro Date (NRPPT) date set to Dec. 1, 2023, on April 25, 2024 (run 1 payroll processing)
  *   December 1, 2023, is the start of the new tax year
  *   No entries systematically process prior to Dec. 1, 2023 (includes pay input, timesheet changes or HR actions)
  *   Pay impacting entries prior to Dec. 1, 2023, will have to be manually calculated
  *   HR related actions (ie: compensation changes) that are effective prior to Dec. 1, 2023, will need to be completed no later than 5 p.m. on April 24, to be picked up in retro

Please start using the following report.  This shows a comparison of an employee's pay results to their compensation.  You should be running this report two days prior to each time we process payroll.  This report was demonstrated at a recent payroll stand up meeting and the overpayment workshop from March 19.  The name has been updated to the below.
